As we move into 2026, Thelenwood Consulting is looking to expand engagement and support AAM collaboration across Michigan and the broader Great Lakes region, while continuing to elevate the role and potential of West Michigan’s airports and business partners within that ecosystem.

Several AAM companies are already engaged in Michigan—or actively exploring opportunities to do so—across areas such as eVTOL infrastructure, drone operations, airspace management, logistics, and public-sector applications. At the same time, a growing number of airports are evaluating how they fit into emerging AAM networks, whether through early planning, partnerships, pilot activity, or longer-term readiness.
West Michigan offers a strong mix of public-use airports, advanced manufacturing, logistics, and innovation capacity that can play a meaningful role in these conversations. But effective AAM ecosystems are inherently regional, built through connections that extend beyond any single geography.
If you’re an AAM company interested in deeper engagement, an airport exploring its role within an AAM network, or a partner looking to connect across regions, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect and explore where collaboration makes sense.
